[Taryon shoos his roombas out of his way with a gentle nudge of the foot, although that doesn't stop one from beeping insultingly at the motion. His sleeves are rolled up, being in the middle of collecting every consturction material and organizing it across his workbench and available surfaces around his room.

[The added title only warms Taryon towards Dan Heng. So he's a "Ser" now, is that it? He's come off as a noble knight? What an amazing first impression he gives if someone new addresses him so politely. The possibility that it's something Dan Heng does for everyone doesn't occur to him — the Darringtons weren't true nobles, only wealthy businesspeople with aspirations to join the most upper of classes.

He made many weapons wielded by heroes- [and now...enemies. He couldn't have known. None of them did.] -of the Xianzhou Luofu, and progressed our automaton technology to incredible levels to protect us from the abominations of the Abundance.
[The corner of his mouth quirks up a little, full of bittersweet melancholy, and yet of fondness.] I think he would have loved to "talk shop" with you, Ser Darrington. Magic and enchantments were not his strong-suit. [Dan Heng doesn't know how he knows this. He's learning to not question it, lest he spiral into existential dread.

[There is a small box wrapped in paper made to mimic the starry night sky. Or a galaxy. It’s set in front of your door, whenever you may pass through. Inside is a journal! It’s got a nicely detailed cover and metal clasp.
There’s also a small note written in very careful, meticulous calligraphy.]

[ About a week after everyone gets home from Egypt, one of the base robots delivers a medium sized toolbox to Taryon's room at roughly five thirty in the morning.
Inside is a set of engraving tools and various knives suitable for work on bone and leather, like the kaiju materials that Taryon acquired on the trip. The edges on all the knives and chisels are razor sharp, and each is stored in its own protective leather sheath. The handles are freshly carved wood, sanded and oiled to be comfortable in the hand without risking splinters. There's also a reasonable sized ball-pein hammer, a bag of around fifty handmade rivets, and a small rivet-setting anvil.
There's no note, but a signature (村正) is visible on the underside of the striking head of the hammer, the bottom of the riveting anvil, as well as the inside of the toolbox's lid. ]
